Hello, everybody!

I'm just returned back from CeBIT 2010 and full of ideas and impressions :)

New version of Finansist.PDA will be soon here. Most waited things in list of changes are: storing interface settings, self-update module and etc.

Also new Hungarian localization pack for Finansist.PDA from Cseh Béla available for download.

Another step into communication - is opening my simple beta-version of Bugtracking system, which is available at http://chanaev.ru/bugtrack/. Please feel free to submit errors, bugs and suggestions.

Finansist v1.3 (PC version) released

New version of Finansist are here. Here are the list of new features:

Update module became fully available for usage
Database folder now stored at %ApplicationData% folder due UAC (User Account Control) protect policy.
Interface has some improvements (such as legend position to increase space for diagramm and so on)
New chart type "Bar" for best understanding money trends and some diagramm options
All interface settings (e.g. column width) stored in config

Also as usually I've fixed a lot of bugs and make some code improvements.

We have new translations for Finansist.PDA.They are maked by Res Marti (Deutsch) and Daniel Budnicki (Polski). Thanks them for their great job! All translations available at Download section as usually.

A little announcement: soon will be release of new version of Finansist with numerous bugfixes and improvements.

I've finished some website updates, such as html code generate cleanup and optimization, mainpage renew, adding Donate page.

To simplify project news tracking process I've create Twitter account. Don't forget, that I also have RSS Feed.

Current state and next steps

So, it is time to check our results. What’s we have at the moment? Main functional as in Finansist as and in Finansist.PDA are implemented and more or less ready for everyday usage. Next steps, I guess, will be polishing and tuning up those apps. Especially I want to concentrate for creating good documentation, translations and usable interface. Also I’ve received many feedbacks and they were carefully analyzed and somehow realized. I hope that in the future you will also help me work for this project.

Finansist v1.2 (PC version) released

Finansist v1.2 has been released and this is a initial release for this product. I hope that now finance tracking and working with Finansist PDA will be more simple. Don't forget about backup data at your device before first sync. And of course here is also short release notes for Finansist.

Possibility to work with many databases. You can disable dialog of database selection and work just with one database. Also you can create, open, compress, delete, set password see database properties and so on.
Database password protection
Many world currencies. For better usability you can select currencies which you use. Non-active will be not displayed in system (for exapmple in account management).
Database versioning. Converting to new format processed automatically without any data lost. This version has database v1. Finansist v1.1 and v1.0 had v0 database.
Possibility to copy databases from PC and back via ActiveSync. First step into records synchronizing.
Basic help at english language actually contained general information.

Finansist.PDA v1.2 released

Finansist.PDA v1.2 has been released after long time pause. Many changes in code, some new feautures and improvements. Work with PC as main feature must simplify process of money tracking and reporting. Don't forget about backup data at your device before first sync. So here is a list of changes. Enjoy.

I have been update a little bit Finansist website.

Now here is new section Development, which are explain how to help to the project. Also we have new languages: Polish (thanks to Budniu from Mobione.pl) and Dutch (thanks to H. Moleman). You can found it in Download section.

Finansist.PDA v1.1 released

Finansist v1.1 is coming out very shortly and I released a new Finansist build, fixing a few bugs. Here are list of changes:

If the application installed in a folder other than \Program Files\Finansist PDA\ - required to manually correct the configuration file. Otherwise application don't work.
Controls layout for different screen resolution and layouts
Possibility to add payment into root categories.
Cleanup initial database.
Category which are curently selected in a category tree goes to New Payment form.
Interface changes in category tree context menu.
Subcategory payments included in output table when category in treeview clicked
Database errors now also processed by translation module
Autoselect language during first launch
Field «Translated by:» in programm «About» form.

Be careful during install new version! See FAQ section to know how to do it without lost any data.
